I'm standing: I took this while Allen Leech aka Tom Branson from Downton Abbey was standing next to me in the Holloway Road Tube station. Obviously I didn't want to be weird and snap a paparazzi pic of him, so I documented the experience this way (and by freaking out about it on most of my social networking sites! I just really like Downton Abbey, ok?!)
I'm feeling: Content. Yes world, I finally feel content. I feel like I am in full swing of the semester already and with that most of my sour attitudes about my study abroad experience dissipated. It feels good to be back to normal.
I'm thinking: One of my main goals for this experience is to better myself. I have been thinking a lot lately about what I can do to push myself to make some positive changes in my life. I am trying to say yes more, but there is still definitely some reservation in that goal.
I'm anticipating: Did anyone hear that Mumford & Sons announced the dates for their Gentlemen of the Road Stopover shows this summer? It was a close one but I got tickets for the show in Troy, OH!! Anyone else going? Last year's Stopover in Dixon, IL was easily the best show I've ever been to, so I can't wait to go again this summer. Plus, I am going with my best friend! I am SO excited, is it August 30th yet?
I'm planning: There is so much to be done on the planning front. On top of organising my trip to Paris in March, my parents just informed me that they will be bringing the family to London the following week. So on top of school work I am now planning for two vacations. Crikey!
I'm reading: I caved this week and signed up for a subscription to my library's ebook collection. My mom is a librarian so she basically hooked me up! I downloaded a few audio books that I'm toying around with and I started The Red House by Mark Haddon. It hasn't quite grabbed me yet, but we'll see where it goes.
I'm listening: Dawes released their new single for Stories Don't End, their third album that is due out in April. While I've seen the new single From A Window Seat performed live a handful of times over the summer, I still can't help but have it on repeat now that it is officially released.
Ahhh!!! Oh my gosh you lucky duck!!! My mom and I are obsessed with Downton Abbey, so I am sooo jealous. That is awesome, and I love how you captured the moment!
ReplyDeleteWell thank you! My mom loves the show too. I emailed her right after! I was looking around like 'why is no one else excited?' haha maybe they are used to it over here in London.
